How Long is a Tour?
However long you want! That’s the beauty of a custom tour. We recommend no shorter than three hours to accommodate entry into the national parks and to see some amazing sights. A private day tour can be as long as 8 hours.

How much is a custom tour?
The price of a custom tour is completely dependent upon the following factors:
- How many people will be participating.
- How many parks and attractions you’d like to visit.
- The length of the tour.
- Vehicle choices for the tour.
- # of guides needed for the tour.

Do you offer luxury vehicles?
We do have the option for a luxury vehicle upgrade. You will see our vehicle choices when filling out the custom tour request.
What are the tour location options?
Moab and the surrounding area is full of bucket-list-worthy destinations and geography to make for an epic day of exploring! Here is a list of common destinations:

Do you provide food?
Our custom tours base package does not provide snacks or lunch. However, if your group needs assistance arranging packed lunches for your tour we may be able to help with that. Send us an email if this is of interest.
Is a reservation needed to enter Arches?
The short answer: no 🙂
Moab Express is a licensed tour company for both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, which means we do not need timed entry reservations like every other visitor is required to have.
Will there be hiking?
While our tours are designed to be scenic driving tours, we do allow for time at certain locations for participants to meander the short trails to rock features. The windows area of Arches is a good example.
If your group would prefer a longer guided hike within one of the national parks, we can arrange for this. Please choose this option when filling out your custom tour form.
What should we wear and bring?
This is a great question! And truly depends on the time of year. In the summer months (May-August), our temperatures can exceed 100 degrees (f), and the early spring or late fall can encounter temperatures below freezing. Given that, we recommend passengers bring the following with them:
- Adequate sun protection including.
- sunglasses
- sunscreen
- sun hat or visor
- Weather-appropriate clothing.
- Shoes you are comfortable walking on unpaved paths in.
- Though not required, we find even those who don’t plan to walk around, do end up wanting to a bit.
- A water bottle.
- Snacks if needed.
- Cameras/phones
We will provide a complimentary water bottle as well as a map of the park.
Please note personal drones are not permitted inside national parks.
